FCLL will be fielding four Baseball All-Star Teams this year. The teams are as follows:
11/12 yr. old Baseball District Team – Competes in double elimination District tournament. This team can advance to Sectional, Regional and Little League World Series competition. In the past this team has been mainly made up of 12 yr. old players, but 11 yr. olds are eligible. This team will need to win a double elimination tournament at each level to advance to the next level. The District tournament starts July 3 and will end July 15/16. Only 1 team of 16 advances to Sectionals.
9/10 yr. old Baseball District Team – Competes in the district tournament. This team can advance to Sectional, and Northern California State tournaments. The 9/10 yr. old team is usually made up of 10 yr. olds from the majors division. Teams must win a double elimination tournament at each level to advance to the next. There is no World Series (or National Tournament) at this level. In 2002, the 9/10 team won the (Northern) California State Championship.
Majors Baseball Superbowl Team – Competes in 1 local single elimination tournament against other area Little Leagues. In the past this team has been made up of 11 and 12 yr. olds.
AAA Baseball Superbowl Team - Competes in 1 local single elimination tournament against other LL All-star teams from the AAA division. This team is not age specific, but players cannot be in LL Majors Division.
